Q: how do i fix gaps in wood floors - Peter

A:There are two methods - if you're sanding the boards later you can use papier mache coloured with a little water-based wood stain to match the colour of the boards - once dry this will sand in a similar way to the boards, and will provide a very flat finish. If you're not sanding them later, or you prefer the look of it, you can also buy specialist flexible floorboard filler in a colour to match the boards, although you may have to pack some papier mache or similar down the bigger gaps before filling them.
