Q: Hi, I have an unusal question. I have put up beautifully designed wallpaper, but the print is quite reflective and shiny. Especially in full daylight. Is there mattifying spray or product that you can recommend which doesn't damage the paper? Many thanks, Annabel.

A: That is unusual, and I can't find any specific products that do what you need, but it might be worth trying a low-odour (i.e. one with as little solvent in it as possible) matt acrylic varnish on a small, out of the way spot of the paper to see how it sits. You'll probably find it very hard to get a consistent level of matt over the paper, even using a foam gloss roller, and you might end up ruining the whole thing, so I really can't recommend doing this.
