For the next few weeks we're highlighting some or the more unusual uses of the household items we all have stashed away as well as some eco friendly uses for all that rubbish!
1. Books. Book-filled shelves on extrior walls help keep heat in and cold out; they also muffle sound between one room and the next!
2. Grout Remover. Use the pointed tip of a bottle opener to gouge out the old grout between ceramic tiles. Be sure to take care not to chip the tile edges!
3. Nail Holder. When knocking in a small nail or tack, push it through a piece of stiff card to hold it in position...a great way to avoid bashed fingers!
