Quick Tip of the Week

Posted Feb 14, 2007

You’ve laid your new shower tiles and they look great, but remember that mildew and mould are really common in damp places like bathrooms and you’ll need to clean them regularly. If you spot the signs of mildew, make a solution of 1 part chlorine bleach with 3 parts water. Use a damp sponge and give the tiles a good scrubbing. This should kill the mildew. For gaps between tiles keep an old toothbrush handy in the cupboard under the sink. The bristles will get into anywhere the sponge doesn’t. Rinse it all off with warm water.
