By definition, dust is any piece of earth or man-made mass less than 75mm across. These tiny particles find their way into your home regardless of how careful you are, but there are some simple ways to reduce it. Take your shoes off when entering your home to prevent dirt and street-dust from entering. When dusting, don't neglect hidden areas such as the tops of doors and refrigerators, which often harbor massive amounts of dust that trickles down to other surface areas. Although carpets may often appear cleaner than hardwood or linoleum floors, they soak up dust like a sponge. Vacuum regularly (and change your vacuum bag as well) to prevent dust kicking up as you step on carpets. Simple, proven ways to reduce dust and keep your house fresh.
