More often than not a home improvement project can involve working in a restricted space or a hard to reach area, such as in cupboards or around pipe work. Conventional power tools are of limited use in such situations leaving consumers to struggle with the manual alternative.

Black and Decker®, as part of its commitment to provide the consumer with the right tools for the job at hand and to take the stress out of DIY, has launched the new Espirt® Cordless Drill-Screwdriver – perfect for a multitude of tasks around the home.

With its 180° rotating head, it is the most versatile drill on the market. A pull down button easily releases the drill head, allowing five separate drilling and driving positions from 0° - 180°.

This new feature allows for maximum adaptability, making DIY jobs simpler – especially in those hard to reach places like window recesses. A variable speed allows the consumer total drilling control, while at 9.6v it offers optimum performance for drilling and screwdriving.

A forward/reverse action and the easy fast-change accessories make it perfect for drilling and screwdriving – ideal for any number of household projects.

An integral battery makes for a more compact and balanced design and ensures a more balanced distribution of weight during use. Recharging is complete in just three hours.

To make life easier, it features the Black and Decker® Hex Drive™ accessory change system, which takes all drill bits with hexagonal shafts. Switching drill bits on the Hex Drive™ is remarkably quick and easy – users simply slide the tool holder backwards and slip a new bit into place. Unlike most drills, no additional tightening tools are required and users do not have to fiddle with Allen keys or other tightening devices.

This innovative new drill is the perfect tool for the consumer in search of a multipurpose powertool to realise any DIY project within the home, for easy access in hard to reach areas.
